Ben Watson

Midfield ace Ben Watson gives us the inside track on his Crystal Palace team-mates...

Watson on Clinton Morrison: "He's the loudest player you have ever heard in your life. You'd be able to hear him from a mile away. He's non-stop. If he's not talking he's moaning. About everything.

"He tells you the truth and he can be very direct with it, but I have got a lot of time for him because he only moans because he cares. He would say anything to anyone, he's got bags of confidence and he's a top fella."

Watson on Danny Butterfield: "Butts is my room-mate at away games and the ultimate joker. He's always playing pranks, messing about and he's always happy - no matter what the mood is like.

"Rooming with him is fine though. He doesn't really have any bad habits. He can do impressions, loads of stuff. He's just a naturally funny person."

Watson on LEON CORT: "I don't think he's spoken since he signed for Palace. He's very quiet and gets on with his work. He doesn't say a word, not even when he's on the pitch - he's even quieter there.

"Got some dodgy gear as well; his house burnt down and all his gear got burnt and I think that did him a favour! But he's replaced it with some rascal stuff."

Watson on James Scowcroft: "Scowie is the most boring man I have ever met - he's got the worst gear I have ever seen and he's the hairiest man I have ever seen. There's not a lot going for him, it's a good job he can play football!

"He takes quite a lot of stick, but to be fair his gear has got a lot better. He used to come in wearing his tracksuit bottoms and a Diadora t-shirt that he got free. When we'd go out he'd turn up wearing Diadora everything, but he's improving now. He's got some new trainers and jeans. He's learning..."
